Camagüey, Cuba, February 10th.- The Projects Subdirectorate of the Office of the Historian is in charge of establishing the guidelines for the restoration and conservation plans that are developed in the city.
The specialists who work there are in charge of planning the works of the Office, as well as of other entities that request their services, for which reason they already have a long list of clients within the city.
They are currently working on the follow-up of the repair project of the municipal headquarters of the Government, already in the construction phase; they will also begin the renovation of the Birthplace of Carlos J. Finlay, a joint effort with the Francisco Sánchez Betancourt School of Trades.
Architect Elizabeth Monteagudo Canto, Project Director, reported that regarding investments, they have approved the plan to develop restoration work in the Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, which will include the installation of renewable energy, paving, renovation of the guardhouses and other components of the complex.
The specialist also referred to the intervention of the building known as La Campana, whose project is already being worked on to conceive it as a purely residential building.
