Font Vila pointed out among the main achievements of the association the large number of innovation projects that are linked to the fundamental lines of the local development strategy
Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 25th.- 2024 became a year of hard work in terms of science and innovation for the entities attached to the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA).
Among its main results, the sector has a total of 20 science, technology and innovation entities, with a high percentage located in the municipalities of the province.
Camagüey also has a Digital Innovation Laboratory that among its functions promotes citizen participation in the construction of innovative ideas.
In turn, the territorial delegate of CITMA, doctor of sciences Lisbeth Font Vila, highlights the importance of the creation of capacities promoted by professors of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz during the year based on the improvement process that the sector faces.
In addition, she pointed out that in 2024 two Camagüey entities opt for the status of high-tech companies, an outstanding step since if achieved they would be the first entities outside the capital to achieve that category.
Likewise, Font Vila pointed out among the main achievements of the union the large number of innovation projects that are linked to the fundamental lines of the local development strategy, essentially on sustainable development and food production.
