Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 17th.- As part of the actions to comply with the Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security Program in this municipality, support for suburban agriculture is consolidated.

In this sense, the attention offered by national, provincial, and territorial state companies for the benefit of the 114 producers located in the green belt of the Camagüey city is highlighted.

In the four sections of the ring road of the city of Camagüey, several tasks were carried out, such as the mowing of areas infested with marabú and other weeds to put them into production.

Likewise, work was done on preparing land, cleaning micro dams for the planting of fry, the recovery of mini-industries and the development of the coffee program in the plains.

In order to increase food production in Camagüey, work is also being done on the recovery of livestock, the use of science and technology and the growth of the breeding of dark-coated pigs.
