Camagüey, Cuba, December 9th.- The Read History event returns to the city of Camagüey, organized by the Enrique José Varona Provincial Center for Books and Literature and the Camagüey branch of the National Union of Historians of Cuba, with a new edition in which the El Lugareño Publishing House will have a wide participation.
Among the titles of the catalogue scheduled to be presented -on the 12th at 10:00 in the morning at the House of Diversity- are texts with a high cultural value for the region such as Escenas Cotidianas, by Gaspar Betancourt Cisneros, a personality who, due to his career in Camagüeyan literature, lends his name to one of the city’s publishing houses.
In that same setting, there will also be space for Historia de Puerto Príncipe, by Tomás Pío Betancourt; Apuntes de Camagüey, by Jorge Juárez Cano; and texts by Juan Torres Lasqueti, all eminent researchers of the territory.
On December 13, the activities of Leer la Historia will bring the presentation of numbers 23 and 24 of the magazine Senderos, dedicated to the Principeña Elda Cento Gómez and the figure of Ignacio Agramonte, respectively.
