Hernández Hernández conveyed his congratulations to the people of Camagüey, to the combatants of the Ministry of the Interior and to all those who participated in this work, especially to the youth and students, who proved to be the continuity of this effort

Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 8th.- As part of a revolutionary combat exercise to confront negative tendencies, the National Day dedicated to control and legality in all areas of society was held here.
During this event, Federico Hernández Hernández, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and first secretary in the province, underlined the fissures that still persist in sectors of the economy, which do not achieve the necessary promptness to correct crimes.
The political leader emphasized the importance of combating immobility and apathy, and directed to comply with the country’s decisions that include the suspension of activities that remain closed during the year, as well as attention to those who incur in tax evasion.
Hernández Hernández stressed that the measures implemented are still insufficient, especially because many of the problems are evident and are not faced or transformed as appropriate.
He called for work and insistence on political work in the communities, promoting popular control and the systematicity of actions especially among those who have the responsibility of directing processes.
Among the topics discussed that require urgent attention were outdated prevention plans, contract violations, closed premises in emblematic gastronomic units such as Lago de los Sueños and in shopping centers such as La Caridad; deficiencies in services to those assisted, reservations in the banking process, road indiscipline, possession of knives, crime and public disorder. All these issues merit immediate measures and analysis for their transformation.
The integration of the presidents of the popular councils, the valuable contribution of the youth vanguard, especially the students of the University of Medical Sciences, as well as the incorporation of various people and the attention to multiple complaints constituted strengths of the exercise that recently concluded. This process leaves guidelines and lessons that are becoming widespread in all the territories of Agramonte.
At the same time, the actions and follow-up of various sectors of society were strengthened, with special emphasis on the Business Group of Commerce and Agriculture. During these days, nine companies of the Commerce system were visited that have incurred in indiscipline and lack of control, which affects the quality and provision of services.
Roberto Conde Silverio, member of the Provincial Bureau of the PCC, stressed that from now on it is vital to prioritize sustainability, prevention and confrontation in the tasks of the Revolution, which translates into greater unity and intersectorality, always with the rigor that this implies.
Vice Governor Yennis León Mayedo assured that the causes and conditions that promote crime persist, and shared fundamental ideas for the work, such as updating prevention plans, the need to change approaches that have not shown results, the implementation of more effective control systems, as well as the application of administrative measures and the increase in oversight and support actions in each of the tasks.
Hernández Hernández conveyed his congratulations to the people of Agramonte, to the fighters of the Ministry of the Interior and to all those who participated in this work, especially to the young people and students, who proved to be the continuity of this effort.
