Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 7th.- With the firm purpose of raising the quality of services and maintaining their status as vanguard in the union work of the province, the workers of the Camagüey Postal Company carried out an act of revolutionary reaffirmation within the framework of the celebrations for the triumph of January 1, 1959.
During this event, the importance of the founding principles of the country and the rich history of the nation were recalled a little more than a month before commemorating the 86th anniversary of the Cuban Workers’ Central, which will be celebrated on January 28.
María de los Ángeles Mesa Pérez, general secretary of the Union of Communications, Information Technology and Electronics Workers in Camagüey, highlighted the relevance of the process of formation of the island’s independence ideals in the current context.
In this context, the efforts of the men and women of the Camagüey Post Office Three and the Postal Sorting Center, who have stood out in socialist emulation, were recognized.
Yolexis Ramírez Sánchez, general director of the company, reaffirmed the will to continue advancing in the search for alternatives to offer services to the population, despite the limitations of resources and the electrical and energy situation that affects the performance of business management and the acquisition of materials.
She also mentioned the difficulties faced by postal services, information technology, the distribution of the press and the delivery of packages, although she recognized that the latter has shown improvements in recent months.
Despite the adversities, Ramírez Sánchez assured that the annual plan, which exceeds 77 million pesos, is projected to be fulfilled, thanks to the diversification of benefits and the links with other work centers, mainly in the sector.
