ECONCIR Camagüey for the integration of the business system through the transition to the circular economy in the municipality intends to extend its application until 2028 with the linkage of all the centers that in one way or another emanate waste that can serve as raw material for other processes

Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 29th.- As an alternative for the economic growth of the territory for the benefit of the environment, the Workshop Integration of the business system through the transition to the circular economy was held.
The event -headquartered at the Santa Cecilia Convention Center- was attended by members of the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), the Environmental Engineering Center of Camagüey and other institutions aimed at technological development and environmental protection.
The relevance of Law 150 of the Natural Resources and Environment System, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic, in addition to the legal framework regarding environmental management and the new developments that it raises were some of the elements provided in the inaugural conference by the master of sciences Arenayda Manzanares Horta, a specialist from CITMA.
Belkis Barrios González, head of the Circular Economy Project (ECONCIR Camagüey), during her speech explained to those present the characteristics of the same, the main objective, the specifics and the reason for the need to move towards a circular economy that allows a maximum use of resources.
During the session Reynaldo Alonso Reyes, leader of the CoLab Local Development Project, spoke about the impact of new technologies in this variant given the role they represent within the initiative, which also includes the development of software and other applications.
From the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz Military Industrial Company came the presentation Reuse of technological waste for the manufacture of padlocks as an example of the actions already carried out by several entities that emit polluting waste to reuse resources and successfully redirect production processes with effects on the environment.
