Today, the capital of Camagüey has 178 inspectors, enough force to combat illegal sales and abusive prices, both for food products and transportation, with greater rigor on a daily basis
Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 13th.- The solution to the issues, compliance with the Food Sovereignty Law and the quality and prices of products were topics analyzed by the Municipal Administration Council in its first meeting this month.
Until October, this body received 370 complaints, of which only 76 had responses, which shows the slowness of several entities, mainly the Electric Company, Communal Services, Aqueduct and Sanitation.
At the meeting it was learned that with respect to food self-sufficiency in the territory, there are reports of non-compliance in the delivery to the milk and meat industry, in addition to delays in the current cold sowing campaign.
The actions taken to control prices are still insufficient and in this regard Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia, governor of Camagüey, called for finding better ways to deal with the illegalities that proliferate throughout the city with more vigor.
He specified that today the capital of Camagüey has 178 inspectors, enough force to combat illegal sales and abusive prices with greater rigor on a daily basis, both for food products and transportation.
