Camagüey, Cuba, Nov 10th.- With the mission of representing the people of Camagüey and quickly restoring the damage caused after Hurricane Rafael passed through the western part of the country, six linemen from the Territorial Division of the Cuban Telecommunications Company (Etecsa) in Camagüey will support the recovery efforts in those territories.

The brigade belonging to the Mario Muñoz Monrroy contingent has workers with experience in mobilizations in the face of climatic situations, with professional skills and competencies to ensure that the communication networks are operational in the shortest possible time.

At 38 years old, Sumney Valdez Ramírez, who heads the team, where most of them are young, assured that the objective is to work and return when the task is completed, mainly aimed at lifting cables and poles affected by strong winds, as well as pruning and felling trees to restore services.

With experience in Baracoa, in the sister province of Guantánamo in previous events, he mentioned the pride of representing the people and the company, as well as the mobilization capacity of his colleagues Denys Miguel Martínez Perigo, Osmel Moreno Alena, Yasel Acosta Estévez, Daniel Zayas Álvarez and Jorge Luis Betancourt Lastre, the latter with 46 years of experience in the Agramonte entity.

The crane driver, Betancourt Lastre, also assured that they are always ready and that they have the necessary equipment and means of protection guaranteed by the company to take on each of the tasks in the west of the country.

Luel García Lorenzo, director of the Camagüey Division, said that this brigade represents the best values ​​of the Cuban nation, bearers of the solidarity and unity of the sons of the land of El Mayo, and that it joins the good performance that the lineman specialized in chainsaws Isvael La Rosa Gómez has been doing since October 28 in Guantánamo.
