Camagüey, Cuba, Oct 29th.- The National Association of the Blind (ANCI) is preparing to hold its 9th General Assembly of Associates, which will take place in the country’s capital from November 27 to 30.

At this meeting, the province of Camagüey will be represented by 16 delegates, one of whom will be directly elected and seven members who reside in the main municipality.

The territory of Guáimaro, in its emblematic Parque de la Constitución, was the setting chosen to receive the flag of the event from the hands of two of the members of the delegation from Las Tunas.

In addition to the reception held at the Birthplace of Mayor Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, in the City of Tinajones, it was also presented in the municipalities of Sibanicú and Florida to later deliver the flag to the region of Ciego de Ávila.

The direct delegate of Camagüey to the 9th General Assembly of Associates, Yudith López Espinosa, who works as a teacher at the Antonio Suárez Domínguez special school and provincial secretary of Education at ANCI, highlighted that one of the most important topics to be discussed during the meeting will be social inclusion.

In this sense, she stressed that it is about including blind and visually impaired people in all areas of society from an early age, since despite the advances and hard work of the Association, there are still limitations and taboos that prevent the full development of disabled people.
