Camagüey, Cuba, October 5th.- From the Raw Materials Recovery Company of this municipality, with the units of the four districts that make it up, a high number of reusable products are collected, which represent a relevant contribution in supporting the economy of the country, as one of the bases to substitute imports.

Danilo Padrón Gómez, director of the Cándido Gonzales Base Business Unit, which is based in the territorial headquarters, points out that they maintain working ties with student centers and mass organizations such as the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the Federation of Cuban Women.

Another strategy that is currently being developed in Camagüey is the Reciclo mi barrio project, which promotes the collection of raw materials along with cleaning from the communities.

This consists of the transfer of the entity’s workers to the most remote areas, and together with the constituency delegates and other popular leaders, collection points are organized so that people can take the unused materials they have in their homes.

Located on Second Transversal Street, between the Central Highway and San Rafael, the population can go to the municipality’s Raw Materials Recovery Company starting at 8:00 in the morning to proceed with the sale of recyclable resources.
