The provincial event for the anniversary will take place on September 25 in the El Entronque community, in the municipality of Sibanicú, National Vanguard of the largest mass organization in the country
Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 18th.- The provincial leadership of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) announced the activities they will carry out to commemorate the 64th anniversary of this organization, founded by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz on September 28, 1960.
The actions include recognition for voluntary blood donors, festivals for the recovery of raw materials in popular councils and the declaration of productive patios for more than a thousand Agramonte families, as well as granting the Neighborhood Prize to two outstanding groups, one in the city of Camagüey and another in the municipality of Sibanicú.
On September 26, the Julio Antonio Mella library will commemorate a group of writers and artists from Camagüey who began their intellectual life in mass organization; on Saturday, September 28, the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC) will pay tribute to Rosa Úrsula González Pulido, who was coordinator of the CDR in the province for more than ten years; that same day, the Union of Writers and Artists (UNEAC) will join in the tribute.
Among the activities scheduled for the 24th is the presentation of decorations to outstanding people and organizations in the Plaza de la Revolución Mayor General Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, which includes the 28th of September Flag in Zone 131 of the Guernica neighborhood, in the Joaquín de Agüero district, and an artistic gala at the Avellaneda theater.
