Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 14th.- The University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz is ready for the start of the 2024-2025 school year, which will begin on Monday, September 16 with first-year students in the regular daytime course.
Agramonte, is still underway until this Saturday, reported the Vice-Rector for Training, Doctor of Science Alicia Rodríguez Gregorich, in the news magazine El Acontecer on Televisión Camagüey.
Since this Friday, the residence welcomes students from the 13 municipalities of Agramonte, as well as those from the provinces from Ciego de Ávila to Guantánamo.
On Monday, at 10:00 a.m., the main event for the start of the new term will take place in Plaza 13 de Marzo; the courses and faculties have prepared an extensive program so that students can become familiar with the university environment.
The vice-chancellor added that on October 14, teaching activities will resume for continuing students and those enrolled in the course by appointment, as well as in the Municipal University Centers.
As news, Rodríguez Gregorich highlighted the start of the third year of the College of Journalism with students from Camagüey, Ciego de Ávila and Las Tunas, who will complete the twelfth grade at the University.
She also mentioned that the Sociocultural Management for Development course will be opened in the form of a distance learning course, a broad-based specialty that has significant potential for the territory based on the implementation of science and innovation in local development.
She also highlighted the official opening of a Notary Office at the university, approved by the Department of Justice in the province, which will provide all services and serve as a teaching unit for students of related specialties.
