Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 11th.- The Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) is currently undertaking several actions in the territory aimed at achieving ever greater technological development.

Master Adianet González Reyes, head of the entity’s Investment Department, said that since 2022, work has been underway on 28 new radio bases to improve access to the mobile network.

The engineer said that in this regard, various tasks were promoted in the capital of Agramonte, in almost all the municipalities of the province and in different communities.

He said that the goal is to reach all the popular councils of Camagüey with access to the Internet and in this regard, the expansion of mobile telephony is essential.

Initially, they will receive part of the equipment during the current calendar year, and the remaining 28 radio bases will follow in 2025.

Regarding the fixed network, he added, the last thing that was done was the installation of the devices in the La Caridad district for the expansion that was needed and also in order to provide the Nauta Hogar service.

Similarly, work was carried out in the towns of Piedrecitas, Lubumba and Aguilar, where small basic telephone cabinets were set up and the possibility of connecting to the network of networks was offered.
