Camagüey, Cuba, Sep 9th.- Development in an environment of legality, productive linkages between state and private companies and the use of existing capacities are challenges for companies of the Ministry of the Food Industry in Camagüey, with the aim of increasing food production.

This was highlighted at the most recent meeting of these entities, headed by the highest political authorities of the province, where they urged to achieve greater resolution and a significant impact of each of the actions and strategies on the well-being of the people.

Federico Hernández Hernández, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in Camagüey, highlighted the role of the collectives of the Ministry of the Food Industry (Minal, Spanish Acronym), which occupy third place in the country in this year’s emulation. However, there are still issues to be resolved in order to improve the emulation indicators at the national headquarters by July 26, 2025.

During the meeting, the increase in the number of dairy farms, which will increase from 14 to 20 by the end of the period, was discussed, as well as investments and the ongoing relationship between political and mass organizations.

In addition, topics such as leadership, compliance with social programs and the importance of working on social networks to give visibility to the actions carried out were discussed.

The political leader insisted on the importance of unity and popular participation, as well as on the improvement of political and ideological work in order to generalize good experiences, correct distortions and confront deviations that are not compatible with our socialist system. He also highlighted alliances with the private sector as a priority in this stage of work for the Minal.

Finally, he stressed the need to increase linkages with non-state forms of management for the acquisition of raw materials, complying with established standards and hygiene-sanitary measures.
