Camagüey, Cuba, June 29th.- With the objective of implementing the 12 work objectives approved in the XI Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), the Municipal Secretariat held the plenary session corresponding to the stage of the current year.
The analysis began with an overview of the gradual development of the Congress returns to the base process, which is currently taking place in the communities of the territory.
At the beginning of the debate, one of the first points was the cadre policy, regarding which the municipal secretary of the Federation, Yuneisi Caballero Álvarez, pointed out that the territory has the majority of the workforce employed, but it is not a condition that is keeps stable.
The Municipal Secretariat of Camagüey is called upon to increase the preparation of women who will occupy positions in the organization, as they are usually affected by the lack of willingness of women, mainly young women, to assume management tasks.
The operation in all areas that are the responsibility of the FMC was also discussed and how this is based on the link and knowledge of the members from the blocks and delegations.
The importance of activism to convene and participate in tasks aimed at improving and building a more inclusive society was also the focus of the debate held during the Municipal Plenary Session of the Federation of Cuban Women in Camagüey.
In turn, gender violence once again raised diverse opinions due to the marked sexist attitudes that predominate in Cuba, manifest in all ages, even when measures and actions against it increase, such as the National Program for the Advancement of Women.

The Municipal Plenary Session also became a setting to carry out the emulation check corresponding to the close of the first half of the year.
In this, the San Juan de Dios Popular Council was the most Outstanding in compliance with the indicators, as well as its representative Silvia Pérez Piñeiro; and the Cándido González District the most Comprehensive.
