Camagüey, Cuba, Jun 1st.- As part of the alternatives that are implemented in the municipality of Camagüey to face the electro-energy complexities that the country is going through, the territory’s social workers develop new actions to support families in vulnerable situations.
From the constituencies and Popular Councils, we work closely with the elderly to identify the main difficulties such as the lack of means to prepare food and access to it.
Currently, supply allocations are delivered, and for people who are not included in the Family Care System, the communities offer food prepared at affordable prices for the entire population.
In this sense, many of the points of sale are located in the gastronomic units of the Municipal Company of Restaurants and Recreation Centers, an entity that supports the work of social workers.
In the same way, the sixth round of the food module received by families in vulnerable situations was distributed, which they can access from their warehouses, reported Maydelvis Zunzunegui Lazo, head of the Prevention and Social Work department of the Municipal Directorate of Labor and Social Security of Camagüey.
