Camagüey, May 30th.- Within the framework of the fifteenth anniversary of the Comptroller General of the Republic, the first Provincial Workshop on science, innovation, digital transformation, communication and information was held in Camagüey.

This event aimed to promote the development of prevention and control in public management.

In order to contribute to the training of new generations and the personnel involved in these areas, comptrollers, supervisors, auditors of the National System, students, professors, economists and several guests participated.

In this context they shared experiences about the culture of comprehensiveness and transparency in social processes.

The Master of Science Francisco Alberto Pérez Fernández, Provincial Vice Comptroller, presented a training program for recent graduates in Higher Technician in Auditing.

This program arises in response to the weaknesses identified in the preparation of young people to practice the profession.

Flavia García Díaz, speaker at the event, proposed a training plan focused on improving the communication management of the team of auditors and system agents, aligned with the Government’s projections.

Elizabet Izquierdo Díaz, industrial engineering student, presented a training program aimed at optimizing methods for superior performance.

In line with this proposal, the María del Carmen Rabilero Fernández Master of Science introduced a methodology to measure and evaluate the impact of postgraduate training actions at the Regional Training Center.

Inés Josefina Torres Mora, Provincial President of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba in Camagüey, emphasized the importance of monitoring the changes that may arise from training and the strengths that manifest after each educational period.

During the workshop, three working committees were formed that debated the management of human capital, the values and benefits of prevention and control actions, and strategies to combat illegalities, indiscipline and administrative corruption.

The importance of motivation, teamwork, monitoring the performance of young people, constant support and collaboration with universities was highlighted.

These aspects were considered key to facing the challenges in communication management and control and prevention actions.

Miguel Catalá Borges, Provincial Chief Comptroller, spoke about the need to form a multidisciplinary team of auditors, highlighting the importance of including industrial engineering graduates, a highly valued specialty today.
