Camagüey, Cuba, April 15th.- From April 16 to 21, the second edition of the El Trompo Children’s Fair will take place at the Casino Recreational Cultural Complex, an interactive space for utilitarian arts and recreation.
Belkis Cruz Saragoza, director of the local branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets (FCBC), the institution that organizes the event, said that for the first time this space reaches the region as part of the activities organized during the teaching recess week and in salute to the victory of Playa Girón.
«Beyond the commercial, the cultural character of the space will prevail, which seeks to rescue traditions and children’s games; For this we have the support of several artisans and entrepreneurs, as well as institutions and organizations such as Education, the Sports Directorate and the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC).
At 9:30 in the morning on Tuesday, April 16, the Fair will be open, which each day provides artistic and recreational shows for families; It will also extend to the La Sambrana home for children without family protection, the Hematology room of the Provincial Pediatric Hospital and communities in transformation.
For the day of the 19th, a meeting with history is planned in which the exchange of protagonists of the events of April 1961 with the little ones will be facilitated, together with the signing of cooperation agreements between the ACRC and the FCBC.
Among the products to be marketed are toys, textile clothing, trousseau, school supplies, teaching materials for all ages and office supplies, among others; and there will be spinning top, sack, oral storytelling and typical Cuban dance competitions.
