Camagüey, Cuba, December 11th.- The workers of the Siboney plant, belonging to the Agroindustrial Sugar Company of the same name, are about to start the so-called small harvest after a strong repair process.

Agronomist Alexander Pérez, director of the entity, said that the official start is scheduled for the 22nd but that they plan to bring it forward to ensure compliance with the plan.

The administrator assured that, even amidst the limitations of some essential resources, they are able to pay taxes on the estimated three thousand metric tons of crude oil.

During the operation that is about to begin, they will have to grind some 66 thousand tons of cane, of which about 60 percent will be destined for sugar and the rest for the production of alcohol.
