Camagüey, Cuba, Dec 3rd.- Food production in the green ring of Camagüey was the central topic of the meeting between the provincial authorities and the farmers of the area.
Federico Hernández Hernández, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province, urged producers to intensify the planting of various crops, coffee, rice and aquaculture, taking advantage of the available land and water bodies.
On the La Pica farm where the meeting was held, you could see the work carried out by the farmer Luis González Serrano, who is dedicated to livestock, agriculture and fish farming on his 26 hectares.
The party leader recognized the efforts of this farmer and others who have taken on the challenge of diversifying their productive lines to contribute to the food security of the people.
