The Conference joins the entire display of constructive and aesthetic tasks designed to highlight on February 2nd the 510th anniversary of the founding of the former town of Santa María del Puerto del Príncipe
Camagüey, Cuba, October 7th.- The month of October is back and with the day to highlight the artistic and identity traditions of the largest of the Antilles, since the next 20th will be Cuban Culture Day, as a tribute to the date that in 1868 the Bayamo Anthem was sung for the first time.
Daikel Guilarte Tomasén, deputy director of Culture in the Ciudad de los Tinajones, reported at a press conference that starting October 10th, activities will take place in communities, institutions and public spaces with the participation of professional and amateur artists from the territory.
The presentations of the Provincial Concert Band, the Professional Choir, the Desandann Vocal Group, Rumbatá, the Camagüey’s Ballet and the 50th Anniversary Cultural Guerrilla, among others, stand out in the program designed for the occasion.
Special moments within the festivities will be the fourth edition of the visual arts event Ecos de adoquines, promoted by the Provincial Center of Houses of Culture, and the actions to commemorate the 35 years of the local branch of the Cuban Fund for Cultural Assets.
With special dedication to young creators, who in the month of November will hold the 4th Congress of the Hermanos Saíz Association, graffiti is planned that will benefit social and educational centers, exhibitions and other training or exchange activities.
