Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 24th.- With an eye on the citizen as a leading actor in the bankarization process and that all the sectors involved pay taxes for the benefit of society from the digital transformation, the visit of Mayra Arevich Marín, Minister of Communications of Cuba, took place today in this city.

The Minister urged to continue promoting the use of the Transfermovil and EnZona payment gateways, developed by national specialists, which include virtual stores that allow closing a cycle in electronic commerce that contributes to this important process.

It is essential, she affirmed, to consolidate the alliances between the Computing Youth Club, the Union of Informaticians of Cuba, ETECSA and the Defense Information Technology company (Xetid) to more quickly implement the contracts of the economic actors and that the people have more places where they can pay digitally.

She added that there will be a preparation process aimed at the population, where they will help in enabling them to make digital payments, the use of cell phones, downloading applications and all the opportunities and benefits through these platforms.

E-commerce fairs and visits to communities and health centers, in addition to the preparation of social workers with the aim of collaborating with older adults who want and have mobile devices, represent other actions aimed at achieving this purpose.

The expansion and greater reach of digital television and the updating of local government citizen portals, in order to turn them into spaces where people find the answers to all their concerns, were other issues addressed at the meeting that brought together managers and representatives of that union.

Yoleisy Ramírez Sánchez, general director of the Cuban Post Office in the territory of Camagüey, explained that they work so that the payment of the press can be digitally, bring the parcel closer to the population in the shortest possible time and in the selection of personnel and their work content because the socialist state enterprise has to seek greater objectivity to obtain better salaries.

The manager also referred to the repeated complaint from the population that there are places where the newspaper does not arrive on time because it is received late in the main city and the routes are long for its transfer.

The specialists of the Software Company in Camagüey (Desoft) explained that they intend to insert themselves in the export projects, present their possibilities and offer the products in digitization, the maintenance of the platforms in all possible scenarios, as well as the search for university talents to further their development goals.

Radio Cuba specialists carry out various actions such as working with third parties, in order to improve the salary of workers, and prepare for the analogical to digital transition, ensuring that the equipment allows them to study the zones of silence and seek alternatives throughout the process; preparatory where vulnerable people are identified in this sense.

Adelaida Nápoles López, territorial director of the Radioelectric Spectrum Control Technical Budget Unit, reported that they keep the number of expired licenses to a minimum due to the expense it represents for the Cuban State budget as well as the control of each system based on the licenses granted to both the state and private sectors.

She highlighted the training they provide to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MYPIMES, Spanish Acronym) to achieve the legality of the services and the effective use of the networks.

The Minister visited ETECSA points of sale and went to the headquarters of the Camagüey branch of the Union of Informaticians of Cuba where its president Reynaldo Alonso Reyes explained about the main innovation projects and the development of the digital version of the Atlas of Camagüey and the system for online actors.

The constant work with the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, the Office of the City Historian, and the Tourism Construction Company in Cayo Cruz, in turn enables digital transformation with the use and implementation of technologies.

Achieving strong alliances between the organizations of the sector, carrying out an exhaustive market study, and digitizing all the processes that respond to the real needs of the people of Camagüey represent great challenges for the Communications sector in the province of Camagüey.
