Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 12th.- As part of the activities to celebrate the new anniversary of the founding of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC, Spanish Acronym), on August 23rd the signing of the Book of Honor of the Camagüeyan Women was carried out.
The chosen scenario was the Office of the Historian of the City of Camagüey where federated women that make up different sectors of society were distinguished for their outstanding performance in the workplace and within the organization that groups the women of the largest of the Antilles.
Twenty-one Camagüeyan women from different generations were included in the Book of Honor, as well as leaders of mass organizations, workers of various entities with an impact on the economic and social development of the city of Camagüey, as well as retirees who participated in the Literacy Campaign.
The signing of the Book of Honor of the FMC, in the municipality of Camagüey, also paid tribute to its initiator Vilma Espín, eternal president of the organization, and is part of the activities in greeting to the 63rd anniversary of the creation of this female group and to the XI Congress, soon to be held.
