The elected members of the Municipal Secretariat of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR, Spanish Acronym), the delegates to the Provincial Assembly and the pre-candidates for the X Congress of the organization, which will arrive on September 28th for its 63rd birthday, were present at the meeting
Camagüey, Cuba, Aug 7th.- Next to celebrate the X Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), the Municipal Assembly took place in the capital of Camagüey prior to the appointment, after the debates held in the base structures to analyze the main difficulties and achievements in the work of the largest mass organization in the country.
The attendees argued about the need to strengthen the preparation of the leaders, reinforce the ideological political work, surveillance and fully carry out all the processes of the neighborhoods and communities in which the members of the CDR have taken part since their inception.
Other topics discussed were the growth of the membership and the difficulties with the contribution that make Camagüey the municipality with more structures among the defaulters, as well as the planting of patios and plots, one of the main activities in which they work today.

The meeting was attended by Federico Hernández Hernández, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and its first secretary in the province; Odalis Pérez Rodríguez, official of the Central Committee of the PCC; and Vladimir Sauri Bermúdez, vice national coordinator of the CDRs.
Hernández Hernández urged those present to work so that the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution are a reflection of the historical moment in which we live and unity is promoted from each neighborhood.
