Havana, Cuba, 16 Sep.- The former president of Brazil and candidate again for that position, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, received a shirt from the Cuban soccer team sent by the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.

The garment, also presented in the name of Inder and the Football Association of Cuba (AFC), was delivered by Marcos Bocatto, an experienced coach belonging to the Brazilian Coaches Union.

Bocatto taught several courses in the Greater Antilles last May, as part of a group of experts. That project was sponsored by the South American Giant’s Landless Movement.

«The gesture is nothing more than a show of gratitude to Lula, to whom they unite close ties of friendship with Cuba», recognized JIT the president of the AFC, Oliet Rodríguez Méndez.

For us it is very significant that Lula has our shirt. We are honored that he welcomed it and we would like him to keep it as an act of gratitude after the help offered and the exchange for the sake of improving Cuban football», the manager expanded.
